Information Communication Technology Redefines Design Management

The tradition in managing identities has been to put design control in the hands of trained experts. As Mary Jennings writes, however, new computer technologies and the growing diversity of corporate communications issues, schedules, and project types is changing the way identity work is executed. There is a blurring of distinctions among disciplines, and this offers new opportunities and challenges to designers and design managers.
